Along with the Federal Highway Administration and the Texas Department of Transportation, the Lone Star Rail District is currently conducting environmental studies of potential rail alternatives to meet mobility needs in the Austin-San Antonio corridor. This study process is being conducted under the guidelines of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and will lead to the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) regarding the Lone Star Regional Rail Project.

Public Involvement is a vital part of this process, and your input is welcomed. To ensure that your comments are included in the project record and can be addressed by the Rail District and its EIS team, please follow this link.
